The Workday LMS Administrator manages and optimizes the Workday Learning Management System to support organizational learning and compliance. Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive LMS Administrator to manage and optimize our Workday Learning Management System. This role is responsible for configuring the platform, maintaining system integrity, and driving continuous improvement to support organizational learning and compliance. The LMS Administrator will serve as the primary point of contact for all Workday Learning activities and collaborate across HR, IT, and business units to ensure seamless delivery of training programs and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Learning System Administration
  • Configure and maintain Workday Learning to support training delivery and compliance tracking
  • Manage course setup, prerequisites, eligibility rules, deadlines, and auto-assignments
  • Perform system and course audits to ensure accuracy and alignment with policies
  • Troubleshoot system and user issues, providing timely support and resolution
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Workday Learning across the organization
System Integration & Configuration
  • Partner with HRIS and IT teams to ensure data integrity between Workday HCM and Learning modules
  • Support integrations with external content providers (e.g., LinkedIn Learning)
  • Coordinate testing and validation of Workday releases and sandbox updates
  • Engage in Workday Community forums and user groups to stay informed on platform updates
Content Management
  • Upload, test, and deploy eLearning content (SCORM/xAPI), videos, PDFs, and instructor-led training
  • Design and assign Learning Campaigns, Paths, and Programs to support development and compliance
  • Maintain version control and archive outdated content in accordance with policy updates
  • Ensure accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1, Section 508) and adherence to data security standards
  • Collaborate with HR, L&D, and Compliance teams to align learning strategies with business goals
  • Manage logistics for instructor-led training including venues, rosters, waitlists, and attendance
Reporting & Analytics
  • Generate and customize reports using Workday Report Writer and Dashboards
  • Track training completions, overdue assignments, and learner engagement metrics
  • Monitor compliance training and escalate overdue items through automated notifications and campaigns
User Support & Training
  • Manage support tickets and assist learners, managers, and administrators with access and navigation issues
  • Provide training and documentation for content creators, facilitators, and HR partners on Workday Learning features
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Education, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience administering Workday Learning
  • Proficiency in Workday Learning module configuration and reporting tools
  • Familiarity with SCORM/AICC standards and content authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Rise 360+)
  • Strong understanding of data security and learner configuration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
