Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a 13-week contract basis. This position is ideal for a dedicated nurse with acute care experience and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. The role requires flexibility, clinical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Collect relevant data pertaining to the patient’s health and situation. Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues.

Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans with the aim of achieving optimal patient outcomes.

Coordinate care delivery, promoting patient safety and a healing environment.

Collaborate with the healthcare team, patients, and families to ensure comprehensive care and effective discharge planning.

Educate patients, families, and team members on health management and treatment plans.

Delegate appropriately and coordinate the duties of the healthcare team to ensure efficient operations.

Provide continuous monitoring and assessment of patient conditions to adjust interventions as necessary.

Adhere to all hospital protocols and ensure a high standard of clinical documentation (Cerner system).

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Experience: Acute care facility experience preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in California.

CPR or BLS (Basic Life Support), HS-BLS, RQIBLS, or ACLS certification required.

Job Specifics:

Total Bed Count: 10-bed unit.

Staffing Ratio: 2:1 (RN to patient ratio).

Weekend Coverage: 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period required.

Float Requirement: Must be willing to float to MS/Tele assignments and tasks in the ED as needed.

Call: No call required.

Scheduling Type: Self-scheduling.

Systems Used:

Medication System: Pyxis.

Documentation System: Cerner.
