Job Overview

Western Digital seeks an experienced People Analytics Partner to lead data-driven workforce insights, partnering with HR and business leaders to inform talent strategy, workforce planning, and employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary analytics partner to HR and business leaders, translating challenges into solutions.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on talent strategy, workforce planning, retention, and employee experience.
  • Build strong relationships with HRBPs, COEs, and leadership teams to align on priorities.
  • Advise, present to, and partner with senior executives as a thought leader.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and analyses on workforce metrics (attrition, DEI, engagement, recruiting, performance).
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights with storytelling and visualization.
  • Deliver executive-ready materials connecting people data to business outcomes.
  • Partner with analytics and technical teams to ensure data accuracy and maintain reliable insights.
  • Use statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and forecasting to identify workforce risks and opportunities.
  • Partner with HR Technology and Data teams to enhance data quality, governance, and reporting.
  • Lead initiatives to evolve people analytics from descriptive to predictive and prescriptive insights.
  • Guide stakeholders in building a data-driven culture and drive adoption of self-service analytics platforms.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors or Masters in HR, Business, Data Analytics, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Statistics, or related field.
  • Experience: 6+ years in People Analytics, HR Analytics, Workforce Planning, or related fields.
  • Technical: Strong expertise in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Visier), Advanced Excel, SQL or Python/R; understanding of HR systems such as Workday and SuccessFactors.
  • Business & Consulting: Ability to translate data into business insights, strong stakeholder management, influencing, storytelling, and partnering with senior leaders to drive data-informed decisions.

  • Salary range may vary based on education, experience, performance, location, and business needs.
