Position Details:

As a Registered Nurse in our Call Center, you will create a nurturing environment that enhances patient care experiences. You will play a vital role in evaluating, planning, and implementing effective patient care plans while adhering to nursing care standards and operational guidelines. Your responsibilities will include providing guidance and support for toxicology questions, emergency poisoning cases, and promoting poison prevention knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a telephone service line, collaborating with healthcare providers and the public for seamless communication.
• Collect and document comprehensive patient histories, ensuring a calm and reassuring interaction.
• Utilize advanced technology and online resources for accurate information gathering and caller communication.
• Build beneficial relationships within the healthcare community to optimize care delivery.
• Develop effective patient care plans, tailoring responses based on established nursing standards.
• Provide treatment advice to both the public and healthcare providers when necessary.
• Stay informed on toxicological resources to effectively manage poisoning cases.
• Remain vigilant and proactive in all interactions and decision-making processes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team.

Qualifications:

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program or equivalent educational background.
• A minimum of three years of registered nursing experience, preferably in medical/surgical, pediatric, or maternal/child health.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing 0-25 lbs frequently.
• Perform frequent sitting, standing, walking, and repetitive motions.
• Good vision and depth perception for close and distant tasks, along with effective hearing and speech abilities.
• Regular use of a keyboard for data entry.
• Occasional lifting of objects weighing 25-50 lbs.

Licensure:

• Must possess a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of work location.
