Pharmacist Intern - Pharmacy at Providence Health and Services summary:

The Pharmacist Intern at Providence St. Patrick Hospital participates in a multi-year progressive internship designed to develop competencies needed for hospital pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision. The role requires enrollment in an accredited pharmacy school and appropriate state licensing or trainee status. Description

The Saint Patrick Hospital Internship program is a multiple year progressive program that is broken up into three steps (levels). Each step is designed to prepare the pharmacy intern to function as a competent hospital pharmacist. This will be accomplished through pharmacist preceptor guidance, where advancement through each step is based on year of school, knowledge base, and ability to demonstrate proficiency in each area. Advancement is an earned privilege that only occurs when the Intern has fully demonstrated his or her competency in each particular area.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a ACPE School of Pharmacy and is within the first professional year when hired.
  • Upon hire: Montana Pharmacist Intern License, or
  • Upon hire: Montana Pharmacy Technician License, or
  • Upon hire: Montana Pharmacy Technician Trainee

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
