What we are looking for

• An experienced OT, enthusiastic about providing functional rehabilitation wherever life happensat home, school, work, or in the community.
• Ready to treat clients beyond staged environments into real?life experiences such as cooking in their kitchen, navigating grocery stores, restaurants, outdoor activities, and workplaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Regularly re?assess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings, and participate in family conferences.
• Conduct discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources.
• Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physicians, service recipients, and family members.
• Communicate with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care, and enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy from a college or university with an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current, unrestricted license as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of one years work experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological diagnoses preferred.
• Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and lift or transfer patients up to 100 pounds following safety procedures.
• Requires fine motor skills, visual acuity, and the ability to walk or stand for extended periods.
• Physical requirements include pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently.
• A health screen or examination may be required prior to assignment and periodically thereafter, depending on specific location policy, local, and state regulations.
