About the Opportunity

As a Mid-Level Capital Markets Analyst , you will engage in complex work assignments that contribute to optimizing USAA's capital and liquidity management. Your role will be pivotal in managing our access to external capital markets and executing various capital market transactions for all USAA entities, including reinsurance, asset securitization, debt issuance, and relationship management.

This position is based in San Antonio, TX, and requires you to work in the office 4 days per week. Please note that relocation assistance is not available for this role.

• Lead the complete transaction process, including creating offering documents, making underwriting decisions, pricing assets for securitization, assessing risk, and managing stakeholder relations.
• Negotiate transaction price, terms, and conditions while overseeing necessary documentation and memoranda.
• Drive the debt ratings process and evaluate potential risks.
• Identify risk mitigation strategies and implement them effectively.
• Act as a primary point of contact for specific capital transaction types, such as auto loan and credit card securitization, while supporting additional areas as needed.
• Resolve issues and navigate obstacles efficiently to deliver high-quality results.
• Ensure that all business risks are properly identified, measured, monitored, and controlled according to our risk and compliance policies.

• Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of related experience may be substituted for the degree.
• 4 years of capital markets experience or 2 years of capital markets experience with a CFA designation.
• Strong knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques relevant to the role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Familiarity with Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance, Life Insurance, and Banking operations, with an understanding of key rating agency requirements.
• A clear understanding of trends in the industry and how they relate to USAA's business strategy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
• Experience in relationship management with various counterparties.
• Strategic thinking capabilities.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $77,120 - $147,390. USAA offers competitive compensation based on your experience and the market.
